Return Policy
- Purchasers of instruments may request a seven day trial period, beginning on receipt of the instrument. If a customer wishes to return an instrument he or she needs to call us for a return authorization before the end of the trial period. The return authorization is valid for seven days from date of issue. The return authorization number should appear on the outside of the shipping carton. The instrument should be carefully repacked in its original packaging and returned by the same carrier and rate (i.e. UPS 2nd Day Air) that was used to send it. No instrument returns will be accepted without a return authorization.
- Any instrument requiring warranty service should be returned directly to Osmun Music. Do not return to the manufacturer.
- If returned, new instruments are subject to a 3% restocking charge. Used horns are subject to a 5% restocking charge if returned.
- Instruments held over seven days will be returned for store credit only, subject to a 10% restocking fee.
- Instruments held over fourteen days will be refused.
- Instruments or accessories that have been damaged or modified in any way are non-returnable.
- Unlacquered new instruments are subject to a $50 clean-up charge.
- Accessories may be returned within 15 days. They must be in new, resalable condition with the original packaging and blank warranty cards, if applicable.
- Mouthpieces may be returned in new condition within seven days of purchase, subject to a five dollar restocking charge.
- Modified mouthpieces, including those that we modify for you, are not returnable.
- Special orders are non-returnable unless defective.
- Clearance items are returnable for store credit only.
- All handmade instruments (Alexander, Finke, and Schmid horns, Osmun trumpets and trombones) are considered special orders. Deposits are refundable up to the point at which construction of the instrument has begun, usually eight to twelve weeks before delivery.
- Please enclose a copy of the original invoice with all returns to avoid delays in processing.
