An adjustable left-hand rest (sometimes called a "duck's foot") takes the weight off the wrist and little finger. Our handrest is easy to install and can be adjusted to fit any hand comfortably. When not in use it folds down against the body of the horn. This updated model has one screw instead of two to facilitate easier adjustments and eliminate broken cross-bars.

This is the same handrest as supplied on new Engelbert Schmid horns. It is very comfortable and, since it mounts on the inside of the bell tail, it folds discreetly out of the way when not in use.

This adjustable finger hook is easy to install and is equipped with a ball and socket joint so that it can be rotated to any directions. This new model has one screw instead of two to fascilitate easy adjustments.

Rubber pads add height and provide a positive contact point for rotary valve levers. They slip right on and offer a choice of two heights.

Braided Dacron Valve String (2 Meters)

Our standard valve string for many years. Tough and durable, low stretch and high flex. Use 80lb for most horns, trombones, and tubas, 50lb for horns with small string holes.

Hi-Tech Braided Valve Cord (2 meters)

This is best cord for rotary valves we've come across. We use it on all professional horns. The braided synthetic fibre is naturally lubricated so the string slides easily across itself and the valve components with almost no friction or wear. It is very strong, has virtually no stretch and virtually no "memory" so it does not retain curves. On a properly adjusted instrument it will produce a noticeable increase in valve speed. This 200lb test cord is about 2/3 the diameter of our 80lb dacron cord.

Buna-N (synthetic rubber) stop material in sizes to fit all brass instruments. Not affected by oil, grease, or solvents. This material is much softer than vacuum cleaner belts or o-ring stock. When properly installed it will not bounce, compress, or tear. Much more stable and positive than cork stops. Use .210" for Paxmans, Holtons, Schmids, and most other horns and trombones. Offered in standard 50 duro and extra-soft 40 duro. Our .188 stock fits Conns, usually with no trimming. Available in 70 duro only. For a softer feel use .210 in 50 or 40 duro. .250" is needed for some Alexander change valves. .250"-.313" fits most tubas. Trim to fit with a new single edge razor blade. Sold in six inch lengths.
