Don Maslet Straight Mute for Horn

Formerly the Wallace Horn Straight Mute, this mute is very similar in construction and sound to a Lewis mute, but a little more open. It is tunable and works in horns of any bell size.

Old reliable. The basic Stone-lined was everybody's first mute. It's inexpensive, durable, and gets the job done.

Suitable for all bell sizes, an interior adjustment permits it to be tuned to match the horn. The long, conical shape makes for a louder mute with a strong low register.

Designed and shaped for large bore horns such as the Conn 8D, the #24 creates a sound that is slightly less muted than the #5.

Patterned after the famous 'DePolis' mute, the #4, made for narrow bore horns, is slightly smaller version of the #5.

With a relatively open muted sound, the #44 is capable of tremendous dynamic contrasts. It is exceptionally responsive in all registers. Fits all types of horns.
